Husband was telling me about a guy with a big drive who noticed a kid on a skooter (or bike or something, irrelevant detail) riding on the drive each day when he passed with his mum. So the guy painted a course on the drive, & other people started using it too. How fab.

Auction
I took part in an online auction last night, to support refugee mums and their babies.
Absolutely blown away by the number of beautiful and mainly home made items that had been donated, and by the support that was promised. The organisers must have dedicated so much time to responding to bids and queries.
I won my bid, which is some bits to gift. So a winner all round :)

Tea shopping
The total for my shopping came to less than the price of these. I pointed it out to the cashier who had put them in my bag & forgot to charge.
Credit where it's due
I bought this lovely nativity for my parents and it arrived yesterday. Small businesses need all the help they can get, so spent a few minutes writing a review for her FB page.

Present
One of my friends posted me something she knew I wanted & put loads of sweet little treats in it for me.
Thanks
I had a right crappy afternoon at work yesterday as my client's server was experiencing difficulties meaning I couldn't connect with my students. I wrote a rather detailed ticket to Support last night explaining what had happened and including screenshots.
This morning I had the normal automated email response crediting me with their paltry pocket money change credit for my wasted time, but on the bottom was tagged a personal message from the poor Support guy (who must have been inundated).
Also, thank you so much for your super thorough writeup on these; it is quite crazy here right now, and if all tutors wrote in with half the precision you do on these issues, we'd be able to resolve these things much quicker. Thanks so much!
I'm still hacked off with them, but his kind note has made me feel so much better about it.
A Push in the Right Direction
A friend's car battery ran flat outside the school. Luckily my son spotted her struggling, and he and a friend gave her a push and got her going.

I'm enjoying wonderful tangerine marmalade on my toast at the moment, care of one of the kind ladies in my language class.

Loo Rolls & Egg Boxes
I've been collecting our household's old loo roll tubes and cardboard egg boxes for a friend who is planning on using them for seed starting.

Special Little Mugs
This sounds the silliest thing in the world, but our ordinary mugs are so big that they hide my whole face. And as I work on video that's not really ideal.
Partner spotted some smaller than average ones today, and bought me some for the office.
Pub Landlady
Can’t believe the kindness of a pub landlady at Gate Inn near Tamworth who allowed motorhome to park and sleep during lockdown in car park but also made us a spaghetti bolognese - the week before she gave me and fiancée a free meal and drinks / never met her before !!!!

Dandelion
Had a stinking headache at work so partner brought me up some tea and ibuprofen.
And a dandelion.
Fell in love all over again.

EE
Great chat with an EE lady in midlands and she negotiated with her manager a £7 to £5 reduction per month for my daughters Apple Watch - I didn’t ask

Freebies
There are the little free toy gifts from Lidl that I've been collecting for a while. They're for the girls of a Facebook acquaintance and today I finally got her address to post them on. A job for tomorrow.
Kindness exists
Reading a story about someone whose purse was handed in intact in a shop she left it in.
Also a stranger paying for someone's luggage excess at the airport.
There are loads of kind people around, it warms my heart to read good news stories.
My parents fostered by bunny for me during our move, otherwise I'd've probably had to give her away.

Paperwork and Grumbling
I did a quick detour to pick up some paperwork on my way to town, and dropped it in to it's owner's workplace. The whole household are confined to quarters just now so glad to do what little fetching and carrying I can.
It wasn't the best of days, and when I got home I felt pretty upset. A friend listened to my grumbling and overnight I was able to gain some perspective.

Roll ups
I don't smoke myself, but for those who do quarantine must be a nightmare. Picked up rolling papers for a couple of local guys who couldn't get to town themselves and dropped them in. Chap was faffing with a handful of change so I told him they were a gift.

Today's cuppa & lunch
Husband offered to make me hot chocolate, he quite often does.
That the server offered me roasties since I declined rice.
Boots
Look what I found by the bin when I was doing my recycling? There's two, really!
Perfect condition, if a little damp, but too small for me.
I'll take them home and dry them off. I've two new homes in mind I know would appreciate new boots.
Waste not, want not.

Cuppa
Workmate took me over to the barista station in the canteen & treated me to a drink since my pass isn't activated for use in the canteen yet.

Gas, Biscuits and Cider
Son's household ran out of gas this morning, and being COVID cases / quarantined, were a bit stuck. I popped out and got them gas and dropped it in, and while I was at it I treated them to a big bag of chocolate biscuits and fruit, and some ciders for son as I figure he'll need them, being trapped in a house with three under the weather ladies.
Normal procedure is to drop of your empty bottle when you but a full one, otherwise you have to pay the bottle deposit. Chap at the shop was rather kind and let me take the full one and drop the empty in on my way back past.
