Checkout
The woman in front was still unloading her trolley as her stuff was piling up the other side of the cashier. I offered to unload her shopping so she could start packing. She had no bags and so needed to trolley empty to put her things into again and let me help her unload. She seemed very appreciative of the help.

Goose Give-Away
Years ago, when I couldn't find a male goose to join my lady goose, a very kind lady gave me one. He's still with us, and my flock has grown.
I saw her on Facebook recently, asking if anyone was selling a female goose. It seemed very appropriate to give her one to return the favour. She was SO excited that it was worth it just for her reaction when I told her I had one for her!
I met her in a central location with it, and we had a really nice coffee and cake. Bonus!

Beach
We spent another day out at a racing event. On the way home I muttered about how it was such a shame we go to all these places near the beach but never see the beach. Next thing I knew, he'd driven us to the beach instead of home.

The woman in front was on her own & still unloading her trolley as stuff was piling up at the other side of the cashier. I offered to do the unloading so she could start packing & she accepted. & I took her trolley to her when I finished. As a thank you she stayed chatting with me as our stuff went through so she could use a money off voucher on our total (it was a phone app rather than on a receipt so we couldn't use it without her).

Books
My physio was telling me about her daughter, who is really enjoying studying English. Next time I went I took a handful of young adult books in English for her to pass on to her.
Tarot reading
Someone I know had responded to a post on Facebook offering tarot readings. It came up on my feed, & so I took my cards to a meeting today & offered her a reading. She was thrilled & accepted.

Friendship
Signed up early for an event I enjoy, to encourage other people to sign up. & messaged her to let her know that she'd left the payment link off. As a thank you she's letting me attend for free.
Also someone who missed today's walk is having a rough time so I offered to meet her somewhere else to grab a quick walk as it sounds like she needs a friend.

Hazels
We're doing a massive tree planting project at the farm at the moment. When ordering trees for ourselves I remembered that a friend had asked me about hazels recently so ordered some extra to give her as a gift.

Workboots
The chap who occasionally helps us with stuff on the farm has just returned from a stint abroad. We've been relying on him really heavily to get prepared for our tree planting project. I noticed that his work boots were a mess. The sole was separating from the upper. I asked what size he took as I had a spare pair of boots upstairs. Unfortunately they didn't fit, so when we went out I got my husband to pick up a new pair for him.

Snowball pt 2
Yesterday evening I told a friend about putting my son's refugee friend and my friend's training-to-be-a- teacher daughter together for language practice. A moment later she messaged to offer me a basic textbook to pass on to the lad. People are being so kind.

Snowball
The residencia where my son lives is also home to refugees. We're in Portugal so they need to learn Portuguese. One of the lads asked my son if he had some old children's books he could offer, for self study. We don't, as my kids are too old now, but I put out feelers to a couple of friends with younger kids. As well as having promises of donations of books for the lad in question, and also toys and clothes for another family of new arrivals, I also had the most amazing offer from my friend's daughter. She is training to be a teacher and offered my son's friend online Portuguese classes. They'll meet for the first time tomorrow morning.
What started as a request for a couple of books snowballed into so much more really quickly.

Classics
Kindness is still kindness, although we tend to expect it inside families.
This afternoon a classic car rally went through my older son's workplace. He rang my younger, car obsessed one, and WhatsApped the lot. Such a thoughtful thing to do.
